As you proceed in Intraday trading, you will come to know that, in order to be successful in day trading, one has to apply practical as well as mental rules.

a) Come out of the myth:
Don’t be under misconception that Intraday trading is for everyone. No its not. One has to be emotionally stable and should have sound knowledge about the market, in order to earn profits from the day trading. Its always better to do paper trading before jumping into the real trading. If you succeed in paper trading, then you can start trading with actual money.
b) Don’t enter the day trading with an intention to become rich in one night.
Intraday trading is not the platform to become rich in one night. In order to be successful in Intraday trading, you have to make an extensive study, devote your time and conduct market research. Without any efforts you cant earn profits from day trading.
c) Earning profits in Intraday trading:
In order to earn profits in Intraday trading, one should have experience about the Stock markets reading and analysis. You should be updated on daily basis about the news which affects the stock market and you should be ready to learn and explore new things.
d) Ways to earn profits:
In day trading, traders sentiments decides the stock market movements. In order to earn profits, move in accordance with the flow and not against the flow. It will be easy to make trades, if we find out the stock direction.
e) Ways to reduce the losses:
If you want to be in the game of day trading, then protect your capital. To protect the capital, either you have to generate profits or avoid losses.
i) Don’t overtrade:
Don’t buy or sell shares at big quantities. If the Stock market reverses then trade will enter into losses and you will end up loosing money.
ii) Use stop loss:
The main reason to use stop loss is to reduce our losses.
iii) Come out of the trade with small profits. Don’t wait for huge profits.
f) Ways to protect your capital:
i) Don’t invest all your trading amount in Intraday trading. Use only 40-50% of trading amount.
ii) If you are not an experienced trader, then don’t get into margin trading.
iii) Buy trading software only after testing and seeing the live demonstration.
iv) Last but not the least. Have control on your emotions.
